#1005 Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation

Instructor: Dr. Martin Cook

With the seemingly innocent act of posting 95 Theses on a church door for intellectual debate on October 31, 1517, Martin Luther created an explosion that would fracture the religious fabric of Europe and lead to fierce intellectual debate and a great deal of bloodshed. This presentation will explore the causes, development, and consequences of these events for Europe and the world.

Martin Cook, PhD & MA in Philosophy and Religion from University of Chicago. His work experience includes Admiral Stockdale Professor of Military Ethics at the US Naval War College and Professor and Deputy Department Head of Department of Philosophy at the US Air Force Academy.
