#1012 Women of the Santa Fe Trail

Moderator: Judy Casey

The Santa Fe Trail was a major international trade route in the 1800s. It was a convergence of Native American, settler, and Mexican cultures and spanned 800 miles from Independence, Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico. The trail was pivotal in US history. This early commercial route changed the lives of the women who set foot on it and they in turn shaped the West.  Join us for a discussion after a video.
