Instructor: Sarah Woods

This lecture will share the history of Pauline Chapel built by Julie Penrose in 1919. The discussion will focus on Mrs. Penrose’s motivation for building the chapel, the meaning behind the name ‘Pauline,’ and the many works of art and religious relics found inside.

 

Sarah Woods, MLIS, Master of Library Science specializing in Archives & Records Management from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. She was a member of the Society of American Archivists, the American Alliance of Museums, and the American Association for State & Local History. She cofounded the Pikes Peak Archives & Museum Network with another archivist in the Pikes Peak region. Sarah has worked in academic archives, historic house museums, and has presented at professional conferences.
