#3037 Introduction to the Immune System
Instructor: Carl Reese
In this presentation, we will learn the basic parts of the immune system and how it works to defend against a bacteriological infection. We will discuss the parts of the innate immune system that you are born with and how it activates, when necessary, the adaptive immune system. We will discuss the parts of the innate immune system to include macrophytes, neutrophils, complement proteins, and the dendritic cells. The parts of the adaptive immune system include the T-Cells, B-Cells and antibodies. This will be based largely on the book Immune by Philip Dettmer.
