#2003 Patty Jewett Neighborhood Walking Tour

Friday, May 9, 10:00 am - 11:30 am (note day, time, and location)

The Patty Jewett neighborhood’s roots go back to the late nineteenth century when it began as an early residential suburb of late Victorian residential architecture. The tour will begin at the northwest corner of Corona and Columbia streets where the influence of railroads intersected with the increased dominance of automobiles.  Along the way, we will see the greenhouses, different housing styles, and the Patty Jewett Golf Course.                     Max: 20

Location: Tour is about 1.25 miles in length and lasts about 90 minutes. Meet at the northwest corner of Corona St.

Tim Scanlon: Master of Regional and City Planning from University of Oklahoma and BA in History from University of Tulsa. He spent 25 years as a Senior Planner in the Colorado Springs Comprehensive Planning Division.
