#2040 Protecting Yourself and Others from Elder Abuse Panel

Monday, June 9, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Elder abuse and mistreatment is more common and widespread than you may know. Learn about the types and prevalence of abuse and mistreatment and how Pikes Peak Elder Justice Center (PPEJC) addresses it locally. We will also learn about neuropsychological evaluations, capacity assessments, and options that are available to you if you need others to take care of your affairs (e.g. guardianship, conservatorship and powers of attorney).

Dr. Sheri Gibson: PhD and MA in Psychology from UCCS.

Julie W. Bovey: BA in Sociology and Gerontology Certificate from UCCS, 8 years serving as a professional fiduciary and owner of a fiduciary company.
