#3014 Walking Tour: Tesla’s Walk: An Invitation to Nikola Tesla’s Colorado Springs
Thursday, September 18, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Let’s spend a couple of hours in 1899 Colorado Springs as we discuss the goings-on of inventor and futurist Nikola Tesla while
he lived and worked downtown and just outside of the (then) city limits at his Experimental Station firing 50 million volts into the
atmosphere. We will discuss Tesla’s timeline before and after his trip to Colorado Springs, his intentions while here, and his
own Colorado Springs Notes 1899-1900. Max: 15
Location: The walking tour will start at the Penrose Library lobby. 20 N. Cascade Ave. Park in the library parking lot. The tour will end with coffee or lunch at La Baguette.
Jimmy Sena spent five years digging through the archives at the Pioneers Museum and Colorado College and reading PPLD’s old
Evening Telegraph articles, as well as Tesla’s own journal and notes to write Tesla’s Walk.
