In 2023, Drs. Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries dating back
to 2005 that led to the rapid development of the mRNA vaccine for COVID 19. We’ll look at their story and the current work on
applications of mRNA technology in the fight against cancer, allergies, genetic disease, heart disease, and so much more that
will revolutionize medicine in years to come.

and Texas Tech Lubbock. For twenty-seven years, she was employed as a forensic pathologist/Medical Examiner.
