Times of Colorado Artist, Frank Mechau

If you’ve visited the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, you’ve
seen Frank Mechau’s work, including the magnificent 60 foot
mural “Wild Horses” painted on what was an exterior wall of the
museum when it opened in 1936. Together, we’ll explore the
influential life and towering artistic achievements of this
Colorado Renaissance man.
Cindi Zenkert-Strange: BA in English from Greenville
College in Illinois. She was a publishing manager, a grant
director, and a docent at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center
and at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
